The 2012 Honda Crosstour

Formerly named Honda Accord Crosstour with the 2010 and 2011 models, the 2012 Honda Crosstour gives a different kind of approach to the SUV formula with a distinctively sleek and sporty look along with being fuel efficient.  Honda was able to maximize the interior’s cargo capacity and versatility without compromising the premium feel it gives. The Honda Crosstour 2012 has two set of colors that are available in all models – Twilight Blue Metallic and Basque Red Pearl.  These will replace Glacier Blue Metallic and Tango Red Pearl. There are two trim levels of this 2012 edition – the Crosstour EX and EX-L.   Some of the new features of the EX model are Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera, and USB audio interface, and automatic headlights.

With the premier interior styling that Honda has done, it would be hard to even notice the functionality the interior holds.  There is an under-floor storage area in the rear part and reversible cargo panels, which can easily accommodate more stuff.

This vehicle retains its true utility-vehicle function with a maximum ground clearance of 6.2 inches in addition to the noted Real Time 4WD system.

Crosstour took a step further on safety precautions with its Vehicle Stability Assist, anti-lock brakes, side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, side airbags with Occupant Position Detection System, and front seat head restraints.  These are all in addition to the Honda-exclusive body design known as Advanced Compatibility Engineering.

The 2012 Honda Crosstour is fuel efficient with both the 4-cylinder and V-6 models.  Despite the Crosstour being set to be a very good performer, Honda did its part with being environmentally friendly with its Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle rating of 2.

As estimated by EPA, fuel economy of the 4-cylinder is at 21 mpg* city/29 mpg* highway, and 24 mpg combined driving while the V6 drops a bit at 18/27/21 for the front drive and 17/25/20 with the AWD, respectively.
