The Family-Friendly and Functional 2013 Honda Odyssey

The Honda Odyssey has been a leading brand in minivans for its family-friendly functionalities and youthful appeal.  The 2013 model gets a bigger cabin, which means more legroom for the rear seats. The new styling also adds to the appeal and aerodynamics. So if you’re looking for a cool family ride, this is a perfect choice. The 2013 Honda Odyssey comes in 5 body trims: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring and Touring Elite. All are designed with some Honda signature traits. Although it is still boxy like all other minivans, the redesign sets it apart with some uniquely appealing touch like a wider body, arched roofline and the “lightning bolt” near the rear window. The rear roofline spoiler has brake light.

The inside is intuitive and safe for the kids. You can put three child seats with five sets of latches. The 60/40 split third row magic seat is easy to manage with one-arm operation.

The LX is equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, auto headlights, keyless entry, A/C, 8-way power driver’s seat, power locks, windows and mirrors; cruise control and a 5-speaker sound system with CD player and auxiliary jack.

EX and above get Bluetooth hands -free connectivity, USB interface, multi-information display and 2GB of audio storage. You also get alloy wheels, power-sliding side doors, heated side mirrors, tri-zone automatic climate control, removable front center console and Home Link.

EX-L gains a sunroof, leather upholstery, power lift gate, heated front seats, rearview camera, auto-dimming rearview mirror and power tailgate for ease of use. Navigation system is an option. The top of the line Touring Elite has the most luxurious features like xenon headlights, blind-spot warning, power side mirrors with integrated turn indicators and entertainment system consisting of a widescreen video monitor and surround sound.

All 2012 Honda Odyssey models are powered by 3.5 Liter V6 engine that gives 248 horsepower and 250 lb. ft. torque. Fuel efficiency of LX, EX and EX-L is estimated at 18/27. Touring and Touring Elite is 19/28.
