About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach is to help underprivileged kids reach their personal and academic goals in a safe environment. The club was originally founded by local community activists in an effort to keep young boys off the street and out of gangs.

Today, the club serves both boys and girls and is known as one of the most successful youth organizations in the area. Since the first club was started in 1939, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach have helped more than 220,000 youth from the ages of 6 to 18 become responsible and contributing members of their communities.

One of the biggest programs run by the club is the summer day camp. This 12-week adventure includes exciting field trips, academic lessons, and other activities to help youth build self-confidence and leadership skills. However, to keep the cost of camp as low as possible for parents, club organizers need help from people like you.

So sign up for Summer Sip 2016 and remember that your terrific taste in wine is helping somebody’s child have an incredible summer vacation.
