2016 Feast of San Gennaro

This year marks the 15^th anniversary of the Feast of San Gennaro in Los Angeles. The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox saint died during the Great Persecution in 305 and has since been celebrated for his commitment to his faith. The festival in Los Angeles is part of an 80-year New York City tradition that has been extended to the west coast.

This year’s event is set to begin on Friday, September 23 at 5 pm and will go until around midnight. The festival will pick back up again on Saturday, September 24 at 11 and last until midnight. And on the final day of the festival, Sunday, September 25, you can enjoy the festivities from 11 am until 10 pm.

This year’s event will include a full-on celebration of Italian culture with incredible authentic Italian food, entertainment like live music and street performers, a kids’ corner with fun activities for the little ones, as well as games, rides, and more. The event will also feature a ton of vendors like local wineries and restaurants. And you’ll find traditional Italian games like bocce ball so you and your friends can try your hand at it.

• Tickets to the festival are just $5 for adults. Admission is free for kiddos 12 and under.
