2013 Honda CR-V: Making The Best Of What It Offers
The 2013 Honda CR-V has been the company’s best SUV for the last several years. In fact, the CR-V has consistently remained as one of the best compact SUVs in most countries. What makes the CR-V so special, what allows it to outdo other compact SUVs? This year, the 2013 Honda CR-V gets some changes in its exterior. The new CR-V has been lowered, there are less corners especially on the roof and were replaced with rounded, smoothened edges for an aerodynamic feel. Inside, the cargo hold has been modified a bit for more space. There is a grand total of 70.9 ft3 of space with the rear seats down, 37.2 ft3 of space with them up. Passengers will also have more room, thus adding to their comfort.
There are three trims available for the 2013 Honda CR-V: LX, EX and EX-L. All models get air-conditioning, keyless entry, power windows, tilt- telescoping steering wheel, a 5” screen display, a 4-speaker audio system w/CD player, auxiliary audio jack and USB/iPod interface. If you want more, you can get the higher trims which add additional features like leather upholstery, satellite radio, navigation system and rear entertainment system, and a 7-speaker premium audio system.
About the only thing that is not so great with the 2013 Honda CR-V is its powertrain. Its 2.4L engine is capable of 185hp, 163 lbs. of torque at a fuel rating of 23 mpg city/31 mpg highway. Some would say this engine is weak, considering many compact SUVs nowadays go for 200 to 300 horsepower.
The 2013 Honda CR-V costs $22,900 to $30,200. Although the 2013 Honda CR-V can’t probably go off-road, still it can take you anywhere as far as paved and cemented roads can go. And you’ll have a smooth ride all throughout thanks to its good steering and handling. Taken overall, the CR-V is one of the best if not the best, among the compact SUVs offered out there.
