The Honda Accord’s nine-generation tenure has been a rollercoaster somewhat. It experienced good success with the first models rolled out during the late 90’s. Several versions later, some said the Accord went from “simple and efficient” to “trying hard thus confusing”. This year, the company hopes to correct that with the better 2013 Honda Accord. With new powertrain technologies, the Accord does look ready. Particularly impressive is its Continuously Variant Transmission (CVT), replacing the automatic transmission. Direct-injection makes it more fuel-efficient while also adding power. Whether you go for the base 2.4L engine or the bigger 3.5L V-6, the Accord will be rolling out great.

Whether as a coupe or sedan, you will love the interior of the Accord. Materials are premium-looking and stylish. There is ample room for front and rear passengers and the seats are very comfortable while providing good visibility. You’ll love the dashboard which has an 8” video display together with Bluetooth connectivity, a 4-speaker sound system w/ CD player and Pandora radio, auxiliary audio jack, and iPod/USB interface.

You can get even better features on higher trims like leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control, navigation system, a 7-speaker premium audio system, heated mirrors, a sunroof, and power passenger seats.

The 2013 Accord comes with the usual required features for safety. These include front side/ side curtain airbags, antilock brakes, stability/traction control, daytime running lights, and child safety locks. Costing from $22,800 up to $30,800, the 2013 Accord’s price is pretty competitive. As a midsized car, it faces pretty tough competition particularly against the Nissan Altima and the Toyota Camry.
