2012 Honda Insight: A Small Car With Great Value

July 29th, 2012 by

The first Honda Insight was introduced two years ago on the heels of another Honda model lineup, the Honda Fit, and yet it quickly made a name for itself as one of the most durable and stable hybrid cars out on the market, which is saying a lot. The Honda Insight was inexpensive and competitive in features compared to other similar models of its time. But this year’s model, the 2012 Honda Insight, remains just as inexpensive and even more so competitive in features. Similar to the Fit, the 2012 Honda Insight is touted as a 5-door subcompact hatchback, one of the most popular automobile models as of late.

According to the EPA the 2012 Honda Insight boasts a commendable 42 mpg combined, and this is backed by the powerful IMA system, or Integrated Motor Assist which is also found in other models but not quite as powerful.

The design has been updated, too. The 2012 Honda Insight now features revised interior displays and material, a new and evolved grille, as well as added several component features. According to three test cycles, the rated fuel efficiency of the 2012 Honda Insight rose 1 mpg on all tests which is definitely a welcome addition.

Driving the 2012 Honda Insight brings up a pleasant feeling of smoothness and control which is exactly what Honda was aiming for when they designed this latest model. With electric power assisting the engine torque to improve acceleration at stoplights, there is currently no better value to be found in cars out on the market right now than the 2012 Honda Insight.

The 2012 Honda Insight is truly a car with great value.
