2013 Honda Odyssey: A Top minivan For This Year
This year Honda’s minivan, the 2013 Honda Odyssey, entices you into buying a carry-all with a very smooth ride. The powertrain of the 2013 Odyssey is a 3.5L V-6 engine which produces 248hp, 250 lbs. of torque at a fuel rating of 18 mpg city/27 mpg highway*. It can accelerate 0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds. Critics praised the 2013 Honda Odyssey’s great handling, given it is a minivan. It can tow loads up to 3,500 lbs.
There are three rows of seats, enough for up to eight passengers. Cargo space is at 38.4 ft3. By folding the third row, cargo space is increased to 93.1 ft3. The second rows can be removed to achieve a maximum cargo space of 148.5 ft3. Inside, there are cup holders, trash bag holders, and cubbies for a diaper bag or a purse. With all that, the 2013 Honda Odyssey is very much equipped to handle groups who bring along infants and toddlers.
The 2013 Honda Odyssey is available in five trims- LX, EX, EX-L, Touring and Touring Elite. Higher trims have more optional features than the base LX trim, but all Odyssey models get these features- a rear privacy glass, full power accessories, cruise control, tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, power driver seat, 2-zone air conditioning, an 8” multi-info display with Bluetooth and audio connectivity, a 7-speaker sound system w/ CD player, auxiliary audio jack and USB/iPod interface.
Almost all of the institutes that grade vehicle safety gave high scores to the 2013 Honda Odyssey. It got good scores in frontal/side impact, rear crash and roof strength tests.
